Dance for the Rescues

Welcome to the “Dance for the Rescues” site!

Dance for the Rescues: A Zumba® Event for the Animals is a benefit for non-profit animal rescue organizations.  Our primary beneficiaries this year are Animal Friends Rescue Project (AFRP) and Peace of Mind Dog Rescue (POMDR).  This event will also feature and support other animal rescue groups committed to making a difference to animals in need. The 2nd Annual Dance for the Rescues event will be held at the Custom House Plaza – Monterey State Historic Park, in Monterey, CA on Sunday October 9, 2011 11 – 5pm.  This event will showcase Zumba®, a high energy Latin infused dance combining salsa, meringue, cumbia, reggaeton and other dance styles. This year’s event will feature DJ Willi spinning the best in world/dance music and Emcee Rama P. Jama. Rescue groups such as AFRP, POMDR, Pet Friends Rescue and Greyhounds for Life will be available to share information about their organizations and to introduce you to some of their adoptable animals. There will be food, arts & crafts, pet related product and fitness/health vendors. This music/dance event will be FREE and open to the public.
