It is official! The Monterey County Board of Supervisors has accepted and approved a Resolution to declare the Second Sunday of October as “Animal Rescue Day” in recognition of services provided by the non-profit rescue groups AFRP and POMDR, individuals and the many volunteers upon which these organizations depend.
The Board formally recognized this day and made a presentation of the proclamation on Tuesday October 4th.
Thank you to Chair Parker and the Monterey County Board of Supervisors for this recognition of the efforts of animal rescue organizations, volunteers and supporters.
This amazing day will be celebrated, this year, and in the coming years, with many events including Dance for the Rescues!!!
